Submission Guideline

1st stage submission
Submission Deadline: March 31, 2008
Notification: April 10, 2008

Prospective authors are invited to submit a 1-page PDF file containing title, keywords, author names and affiliations, and abstract to IWSV08@ics.nara-wu.ac.jp. The 1-page abstract is used for 1) checking if the submission is far from IWSV08 scope and 2) reviewer assignment for the 2nd submission (full paper submission). There is no restriction of format except that the 1st stage submission must not exceed one page. Authors with 1st stage acceptance can proceed to the 2nd stage submission.

2nd stage submission
Submission Deadline: May 7, 2008
Notification: May 21, 2008
Camera ready (on-site CD-ROM proceedings): May 27, 2008

Authors with 1st stage acceptance can submit their full paper (a PDF file, up to 8 pages - single space, double column, font size of 10 to 12) to IWSV08@ics.nara-wu.ac.jp. All reasonable typesetting formats , such as ACM format, are acceptable. (later, the authors of accepted papers will be asked to follow a particular typesetting format to prepare their papers for the on-site CD-ROM proceedings.) Papers must not have been previously published or currently submitted for publication elsewhere. The first page of the draft paper should include title, author names and affiliations, keywords, and 200-300 words abstract. Papers will be evaluated for originality, significance, relevance, clarity, and impact. Each paper will be refereed by three experts. Paper evaluation results are classified in three levels: a) accept, b) accept as a work-in-progress paper, c) reject. An accepted paper is included in the post-proceedings without further reviews as well as the on-site CD-ROM proceedings while a work-in-progress accepted paper is included in the on-site CD-ROM proceedings but requires further reviews to be included in the post-proceedings.
